Incus Certificate Installation

This page is made to help in the process of accessing the Incus UI. To download the .pfx file navigate to this gitlab repository, you must be a member of the Incus project to access it. If you are not able to access it for whatever reason reach out to an exec of the club.

Firefox

  1. Download the .pfx file for importing to your browser.

  2. Paste this link into the address bar: 

    about:preferences#privacy

  3. Scroll down to the certificates section and click the View Certificates button.

  4. In the popup click Your certificates and then Import.
  5. Select the .pfx file you just downloaded. Enter your password, or leave the field empty if you have not set one.
  6. Restart the browser and open the Incus UI. Select the Incus UI certificate.

Chrome (Linux)

  1. Download the .pfx file for importing to your browser.

  2. Paste into the address bar: 

    chrome://settings/certificates

  3. Click the Import button and select the incus-ui.pfx file you just downloaded. Enter your password, or leave the field empty if you have not set one.

  4. Restart the browser and open Incus-UI. Select the Incus-UI certificate.

Chrome (Windows)

  1. Download the .pfx file for importing to your browser.

  2. Paste into the address bar: 

    chrome://settings/security

  3. Scroll down to the Advanced settings and click Manage device certificates

  4. This opens a certificate management dialog. Click Import... then Next and select the incus-ui.pfx file you just downloaded. Enter your password, or leave the field empty if you have not set one. Click Next.
  5. Select Automatically select the certificate store and click Next, then click Finish.
  6. Restart the browser and open the Incus UI. Select the Incus UI certificate.

MacOS

The certificate must be protected by password. An empty password will fail to be imported on macOS.

  1. Download the .pfx file for importing to your browser.
  2. Start the Keychain Access app on your Mac, select the login keychain.
  3. Drag the macos.pfx file onto the Keychain Access app.
  4. If you are asked to provide a name and password, type the name and password for an administrator user on this computer.
  5. Restart the browser and open Incus-UI. Select the Incus-UI certificate.
